Your Powder Brow Questions, Answered

Powder brows are a permanent makeup technique that uses soft, gradual shading to create the look of a lightly powdered brow. They can be done barely-there for a natural enhancement, or fuller and more defined for a polished, makeup-ready look.

What are powder brows?

How are powder brows different from microblading or nano brows?

2

Microblading and nano brows create individual hair-like strokes, while powder brows use shading for a soft, filled-in finish. Many clients who come in asking about microblading find that powder brows give them the look they actually want. We also offer a combination of nano and powder brows (sometimes called hybrid or combo brows), which blends hair strokes at the front with soft shading through the rest of the brow. The best technique for you comes down to your natural brow hair and your ideal look, and we’ll decide together at your consult.

Results can last 2 years or more, depending on your skin type, lifestyle and sun exposure. Many clients book a colour boost every 2–3 years to keep their brows looking fresh.

Yes. Powder brows typically heal beautifully on oily skin, making them a great choice if your skin is on the oilier side. They’re not your only option, though: powder brows suit every skin type, and the right choice depends on your preferences and your natural brows.

What is the healing process like?

Your brows will look darker and more defined for the first week, then soften as they heal. Some light flaking is normal. Full results show after your 6-week touch-up. See our aftercare guide for everything you need to know.
