Your Lip Blush Questions, Answered

Lip blush is a permanent makeup technique that deposits soft pigment into the lips to enhance their natural colour, even out tone and define your lip line. It’s ideal if your lips look pale or uneven, or if you’d love to wake up with a little colour without reaching for makeup.

1

What is lip blush?

Only if you want it to. Most of our clients choose a very natural result, a colour that looks like your own lips, just healthier and more even. We’ll choose your shade together at your appointment.

2

Will it look like I’m wearing lipstick?

How much does lip blush cost in Toronto?

3

Lip blush at Bianca & Co. is $650 + tax, and that includes your touch-up appointment 6 weeks later.

Results typically last 2–3 years, and sometimes longer, depending on your skin, lifestyle and sun exposure.

4

How long does lip blush last?

Your lips will likely be swollen on the day of your appointment, usually settling by that evening or the next day. For the first week the colour will look bright, then your lips may feel dry and tight as they heal and the colour softens. Keep them clean, and for about a week avoid salty, spicy, hot or sour foods, as well as smoking. See our aftercare guide for full details.

5

What is the healing process like?

I get cold sores. Can I still get lip blush?

6

Yes, many clients who are prone to cold sores get lip blush. Let us know ahead of your appointment and we’ll talk through how to prepare.

What if my lips are darker or uneven in tone?

7

For darker or uneven lip tones, we offer lip neutralization, a specialized technique that gradually brightens and evens out lip colour. [Learn more about lip neutralization →]
